I get pissed off when I see all these stats because it doesn't have any positive effect on the citizen's living standard.

Stupid set of worthless bastards despite flaring gas which leads to a monetary yearly wastage of $5 billion yet they must cook up juicy and incoherent, unsubstantiated news just to deceive their usual zombies. It shall not be well with these desperate liars playing mind games with the emotions of innocent Nigerians. To Exporting gas ko, expecting gas ni. Talking of gross uncertainties in the face of stark realities.

After the likes on Nairaland, what else? The reality you detest so much still slaps you in the face. GEJ lost in 2015, rightfully so. Deal with it.

THIS IS NO GOOD NEWS FOR NIGERIA.

LET US GO BACK TO AGRICULTURE.

NIGERIANS ARE HUNGRY AND THEY NEED FOOD TO FEED THEIR HUNGRY TUMMY!

AGRICULTURE WILL GROW OUR ECONOMY WITH AGRO-ALLIED INDUSTRIES PRODUCING FINISH PRODUCTS FROM THE FARM AND AT THE SAME TIME GENERATING EMPLOYMENT.

Greedy Politicians are ever ready to hijack money generated from the export of OIL AND GAS.

NORTHERN NIGERIA DO NOT BE DECEIVE BY THIS STATISTICS THEY ARE FAKE PROJECTIONS.

That will eventually not stand the test of time.

Go back to the AGRICULTURAL ROAD MAP THAT WAS STARTED BY SAUDAUANA, LATE SIR AHMADU BELLO.

Unfortunately, most northerners have been brainwashed by their leaders into thinking that Agriculture is just for Leisure work and that they do not need to stress themselves as far as they get crude oil allocation from Abuja.

The solution to all these problems and poverty is simple.

Do a clean up of the national ID card system.
Put Nigerians citizens into families.

Then pay every families registered as Nigerian monthly from the sales of oil and gas, in an approved formulae.
FG for running government and project 30%
State 30%
Niger Delta states development to world class cities 10%
Nigerians citizens by families: 30%

Ndonu101:

go and read my post again an understand it

do you not export crude oil to the international market used to refine for diesel and pms?

if all of Europe and America switch to electric cars wont the demand for crude oil reduce?

World Energy forecast have already been conducted and the forecasts clearly indicate oil and gas will remain as the worlds major provider of Energy! Use of Coal will definitely phase out, and Natural gas demand will reach an all time high-peak... So you know, billions of US dollars are currently being invested in deriving advanced technology and expertise required to drill oil and gas under harsh climatic conditions - for example, ultra deep offshore level where you have formations of ice to remote environment. Then you have unconventional drilling technique for shale oil and gas. So, this should give you a clue as to why oil and gas will remain tops in providing Energy to the world. Sure, biofuel plants, windmill energy and all sort of forms of renewable energy will see the day of light, but they sure can't satisfy the ever growing demand of energy needed by over 7 billion people in the world; and whose number is expected to rise to 9 billion by 2050.

What are you saying - local technology - maintenance technology - mamamia...... Nigeria is just a failed state, these technology are not new
ManirBK:
Good development but It is unfortunate that Nigerians are not enjoying their God given natural resources such as oil and gas due to lack of local technology to develop and consuming same. .. Petroleum products are expensive in Nigeria because our refineries are not working due to lack of maintenance technology. ..
the cooking gas is expensive because Nigerians do not have the local technology to develop and consume same..
Re: Nigeria To Become Third World Largest Exporter Of Gas by TheUbermensch: 4:45pm On Aug 06, 2018
Only idiots would rejoice at such news.

Countries without natural resources have their citizens enjoying a standard of living a million times better than Nigeria.

Nigeria has failed. Anyone with a contrary opinion is being overly sentimental and sentiments don't rule the world.

Nigeria should start planning for future without fossil fuels

solar technology and electric cars simply means this commodity will soon be worthless

They dont know whats coming. We have a very myopic set of hooligans as our leaders..

I forsee economic doom for this country in the not too distant future.
