Please what is the faith of ETI Plc Preference shareholders who ought to have received ordinary shares equivalent since 2016.

By the scheme of merger/arrangement between the shareholders of Oceanic Bank and Ecobank, shareholders of ETI in Nigeria, Togo and Ivory Coast ought to have received ordinary shares at the end of the maturity of the Preference shares in 2016. However shareholders from the 3 countries have been denied access to their shares and also not paid preference dividend for 2 years now. This action is against the SEC rules.

Also the preference shares had been taken off the Financial statement of ETI and the ordinary share capital had been increased with what ought to been given to shareholders without allowing them access to the shares or paid interest. This is misrepresentation and misleading the investing public.

Is it because ETI is a foreign Bank that made regulatory bodies to overlook this or they are not aware of the suffering that this Bank had caused the shareholders. Note that those that did not request for shares had been paid their redemption money last December while their counterpart are left suffering.

Please, the Regulatory Bodies should intervene in this prolong denial to ones investment. We have suffered enough please.
