Although some newer smartphones are fast becoming water resistant which enable them resistance to a quick drop inside water or rain splash, we should still not forget that this devices are electronic devices that don't work well with water especially when the water is able to penetrate into the circuit.

1, Do not Charge: Do not plug it in to see if it works. If it’s on, electricity will flow, it will touch the water that’s inside and that’s when your fry the (circuit) board.

2, Turn Off: If you are lucky and the phone is still working after it drop inside the water, turn it off and allow it to dry or better still take to an expert (Carlcare i recommend).
