How To Study On Cheap Tuition In Croatia With Tuition Fees by ujonah12: 2:37am On Aug 09, 2018
Today’s article will analyze low tuition universities in Croatia, tuition fees, visa requirements and application requirements. Before getting  into these matters, let's discuss Croatia as a country. Croatia is a beautiful country located in South Eastern Europe at the crossroads of the Adriatic Sea and Pannonian plain. If you did not know Croatia has a long list of low tuition universities for international students.

Croatia shares a border with Hungary in the North, Slovenia in the north west, Serbia in the north east, Italy and Slovenia in the Adriatic sea. Croatia is a developing economy as described by the International Monetary Fund and High Income economy by the world bank.

It is also a popular tourist destination-with several historical heritage, a warm climate, natural beauty and high quality accommodation, gastronomic excellence and a good supply of activities and entertainment to make for a pleasant stay.

Zagreb is the official state capital and the largest city in the country. It is situated in the north west of the country, along the Sava River with a population size of over one million people. It is the political, economic, cultural,  and scientific centre of Croatia.

Cost of Living

The average cost of living in Croatia is affordable estimated to be between 400 and 700 EUR, but depends to a large extent on the type of accommodation, utilities, books, transportation, and other expenses. Of course, you can spend less or more depending on your spending habits.

Visa Requirements

International students will be required to have a residence permit. This can be obtained of course through a consulate of the republic of croatia in your home country or maybe through a local police office once you arrive in the country. The visa application can be submitted to the diplomatic mission or consulate of the republic of Croatia in your home country.Note that the visa application can be submitted either in person or via email.

Where to submit residence permit application

Individuals from third world countries can submit residence permit in one or two ways:

To the diplomatic mission or consulate of the Republic of Croatia in the foreigner’s home country.
To the appropriate police department or police station upon entering Croatia if the student is coming to Croatia to study at a higher education as a full time student at an undergraduate or postgraduate level.
When to submit residence permit application

Note that students submitting applications to the diplomatic mission or consulate of the Republic of Croatia need to do so prior to their scheduled arrival in Croatia. The usual process can take up to three months or more including the application and students can request this option at the diplomatic mission or consulate-in which case they pay higher. Students submitting the application to the appropriate police department or station should do so upon entering Croatia during their short stay.

Application documents

The following documents need to be submitted along with the application for temporary residence for the purpose of studying:

One colour photograph 35x45 mm
Valid passport and photocopy of a passport(non-EU citizens) or identity card(EU citizens).
Proof of secured residence(e.g. Written proof of secured accomodation in the student dormitory or an apartment lease). Please note that upon 48 hours of arrival, you’ll have to register your address at the Foreigners Office of the local police administration. If you are staying at hotel or student dormitory, your address will be automatically registered.
Proof of health insurance
Proof of sufficient funds to support yourself.
Proof of admission to a tertiary institution in Croatia written in Croatian language.
