The 46/11th conference of the Methodist Church Nigeria is ongoing at the archdiocese of Aba.
It is being hosted by the Archbishop of Aba archdiocese, His grace, Most Rev. C. Nnonah.
Governor of Abia state, Gov.Okezie Ikpeazu was present in the opening/Eucharist service.
The theme of the conference is "STRIVE FOR PEACE AND HOLINESS "
Some of the key outline of the conference is the reelection of His eminence, Dr kanu Uche as the prelate of the Methodist Church Nigeria for a final Five years.
The conference also witnessed the creation of some new dioceses like
Diocese of Imesi Ile,
Diocese of Ketu
Diocese of Uturu.
Diocese of Oyongo
Diocese of Ito
Diocese of Adinu
Archdiocese of Lagos Mainland.
Prelate emeritus, Dr Sunday Mbang and Dr Ola Makinde were in attendance together with clergy men, bishops, Archbishops, Knights of John Wesley(KJW), knights of Charles Wesley(kcw) , lay preachers, Delegates, and host of important invitees.
