WOULD YOU SAY YOU KNOW THE LORD?

Its a Sunday morning
Time to worship God in voice, spirit, soul, presence and money
You can't afford to get late to church
You are clad in your finest cloth; "Holiness inward and outward"
But yours is limited to that of the outward
The church welcomes you with beautiful smiling faces
You go straight to your best seat
You immediately sunk into your thoughts when you sit
Then you start to reminisce the event of the past week
You are deep in thoughts till you jeer back into reality when the last AMEN is said
"Bro,how was service?" ; "We thank God"
You thanked God while you were mind away but physically present
This is the every Sunday routine.
Would you say you know the Lord?

PS: Am not saying being in the gathering of saints and reciting the Lord's prayer with lot of AMEN is bad, at least better off than doing nothing. This is it;
You are lost when the Bible is being discussed in church,
you don't know if there's a bible book called NAHUM,
you still ask people for prayer Guide,
You still wait for people before you pray
Would you say you know the Lord?

For deeds done
For service rendered
For love bestowed
For care you have cared
For kindness you have rendered
For songs you have sang
For all of these to be wander far away from his throne.
You are asked "Are you a christian?"
"Yes,yes I am"
So I ask you if you know the Lord
Would you say you know the Lord?

It does not stop at salvation, shoot at sanctification.

Your white robe is spotless
Holiest of the holy
Praises unto cherubin and seraphim
But you find it hard to go on your kneels in prayer
You shriek at every alarm
You turn 180 at every noise
You are the "Had I known?"
Would you say you know the lord.
