Women in Nigeria have been advised to position themselves for an active role in the build up to the 2011 General Elections. A Former Minister of State for Women Affairs in Nigeria, Chief (Mrs.) Funke Adedoyin who made the appeal in Abeokuta at the 2010 Week of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalist (NAWOJ), stressed those Women in the Country should refrain from playing role of a second fiddle especially in Politics.

Who knows perhaps having more women in politics could be beneficial to the overall development of the country. Especially occupying positions of real power.

Well my dear it won't

At least if it's for the sake of having more numbers of women in NIGERIAN POLITICS. More Hausas, BINIs, Teachers, etc., wont be the answer.
