When a pattern of evil passes from one generation to the next, God calls it a “STRONG HOLD”

King David had a problem with lust, that spirit passed on to his son Ammon and Ammon raped Tamer Absalom sister. (2 Samuel 13). When David heard about it, he was angry, but he did nothing. What could he say? Along the same line; Absalom his first son uncovered the unclothedness of his father’s wives on top of the roof. The demon increased its destruction in this family.

David killed Uriah and snatched his wife. Absalom also ordered for Ammon death and killed him. Absalom sought to kill his father too; but died on that quest. What a terrible recycling of curses.

Abraham lied and told Abimalech, king of Gerar, that his wife(Sarah) was his sister in order to save his own life (Genesis 26). Isaac His son fell to the same trap....lying that Rebecca is his sister instead of his wife.

Claudius was the Emperor of Rome in A.D 43. The reign of Claudius had a very sad ending; Claudius was poisoned by his wife so that her own son Nero, might become Emperor. Nero later murdered his own mother. In A.D 68. Nero Committed suicide to save himself from death at the hand of the Romans.

Sometimes you can actually look and see the same pattern coming at your family. But God heals dysfunctional families and the healing can begin with you.

Just because your parents were emotionally frozen does not mean that you and your children have to grow up without affection. A husband and wife will quarrel and hate themselves sometimes leading to divorce. Then what happens nest? Either of the parents will begin to infect their children with the save demon of hatred, and before you know it; they will grow up hating people and easily irritated.

It moves from one generation to the other.
