Has any other dealer or importer been affected by the current issue of congestion at Lagos port?. A few vessels have supposedly left Cotonou two weeks ago, enroute to Lagos and have still not berthed or offloaded at Tincan. One of such vessels is Hoegh Bangkok, which I currently have three units on. There is also a supposed "Port Politics" as some vessels are given priority docking before others, making things more convoluted. Could our in house clearing agents, Adexfem and Mr Banji, or anyone else with more enlightenment and information kindly shed more light on this development? What is the cause of this? Are greedy Custom officers responsible? Is it the shipping company staff? What is the solution or precautionary method?. Regards. German007. |
