Julivas: If Nigeria restructured into provinces - 1) Northern Province 2) Middle Belt Province 3) Oduduwa Province 4) Eastern Province 5) Niger Delta Province (Atlantic) Then Central Government at FCT.
10 positive things that would happen within 5 years (primarily due to inter-province competition)
1. The first province to experience economic explosion would obviously be the Western Province. The Oduduwua Master plan will be revealed. There would be trans-regional 4g internet fiber connection/rail/subways/highways/power grids etc. Yoruba will become the 2nd official language. They are relatively united. They have oil. They own academia. They have mega corporations. The WP would be the first to have stable 24/7 power supply! Foreign money will flood the province. More Forbes recognized billionaires will arise. Some of them will be internet billionaires. Lagos will be relieved a little from overpopulation as railway lines from other states will make living elsewhere and working in Lagos a breeze.
2. The Northern Province will have stronger islamic laws. Sharia will be entrenched and this will make the NP become the least corrupt province. The middle east (Arab) nations will move in to partner with them, bringing major development. Jaiz bank and Unity Bank will become mega banks. Arabic and Hausa will compete with English for dominance in schools. This province will generate more solar power than any other province. After the west, this province will be the 2nd to have 24/7 electricity. They will start exporting food as a major revenue generator.
3. The Middle Belt Province will have a development conference. Focus will be given to solid minerals development/ exports, tourism development and food production/exports. This will become a food hub in West Africa. They will export more food than any other province. Mega mining and food corporations will arise. This province will have foreign inflows through tourism development greater than any other province. It will host the most beautiful places to live in Nigeria.
4. The Eastern Province will transform into the Auto Industry Hub of Africa. Indigenous manufacturing of vehicles that will start competing with foreign vehicles will commence in earnest. This will grow to manufacturing of airplanes, helicopters, tractors, cranes, heavy duty construction equipment etc. Forbes recognised billionaires living in Anambra will arise. The Biafra agitation will fizzle out since formation of the EP will be seen as a Biafra success in another form. There would be so much development that villages (as we currently know them) will quickly cease to exist. This province will be the first to semi-urbanize all their rural areas as all the Igbos living abroad will rush back to take advantage of the changes.
5. The Atlantic Province will take the Uyo blueprint and run with it. An abundance of oil wealth and opening up of major sea ports at Rivers and Uyo will enable this region to revamp their infrastructure quickly. There will be more monorails here than anywhere else. This will be the 3rd province to achieve 24/7 electricity generation in Nigeria (mainly from gas turbine technology).
6. With provincial indigenous security forces in control, kidnapping, Armed robbery, Boko Haram, Fulani herdsmen and the Niger delta militancy attacks will all fizzle out. Nigeria will become the most secure and peaceful African nation; thus attracting more foreigners.
7. Each Province will have their own airline professionally managed. And with better roads/rail, air and land transport costs will crash.
8. With the rapid development occurring all over, Nigerias GDP will shoot up. Obtaining visas to travel out will become easy as more people will want to come in than go out. A worldwide immigration into Nigeria will commence, as Nigerians living abroad will be struggling with foreigners to enter the country. ''Nigeria will become the most desirable Nation to live in".
9. The central government at the FCT will become smaller and less powerful. There will be a mini-exodus from Abuja to the provinces as the action is now elsewhere. The outskirts of Abuja will no longer be heavily overpopulated. Abuja will become awesome again.
10. The 10th positive thing that would quickly happen positive idea.
Pls share for the sensitization of the benefits of Restructuring.
Nigeria must flourish again.

Regardless of whether we don't avoid it dispassionately, we can oppose it politically."
Accordingly, Ezeife told his crowd at the summit that Abdullahi's position was in opposition to the situation of the Governor Nasir El-Rufai-drove All Progressives Congress board on True Federalism and was making ready for Nigeria's dissection if permitted to hold influence.

"On the off chance that the North-West takes after the medicine of Ango Abdullahi, (Gideon) Orkar's Nigeria ends up unavoidable however all patriots must keep the entryways open for the individuals who split away to return. It is limitlessly better to think valuably to stay away from the early exit.
"Restriction to rebuilding is resistance to closure what prompted the common war. Such restriction is chiefly from the North whose children were the military pioneers of Nigeria who governed and demolished post-1966 Nigeria. "
He included, "Restriction to rebuilding is to favor what does not work over what works. The World Bank had affirmed that Nigeria's concurred structure worked in this way resistance to rebuilding is requiring a lastingness of gross injustice."
He clarified that the requires the rebuilding of Nigeria was just a call for Nigeria to come back to the structure which the establishing fathers of the country settled upon when they requested and acquired freedom from the British in 1960.

Nairalanders, what are your opinions on this assertion. ....?
Buhari is not the problem in Nigeria its you people waiting on the politician to keep promises and enriching the pastors because you think Christ is coming to save you. What prevents you from saving 3000 Naira a month a 1000 of you? Using the money to start community projects in capital investment. Nigeria doesn't have enough money to support 190 million of you so this is conclusion has driven many to give up and hide under corruption. This giving up is the issue with Black people everywhere on the planet. Just not giving a damn and accepting whatever happens.
PFRB: Lagos should be the capital of the Atlantic province
The Oba of Lagos,His Highness Oba Rilwan Akiolu, actually does a very good job in steady making Lagos into an economic powerhouse for Africa. The Oba is also very adamant about security and making sure that crime and social disorder doesn't interfere with the progress of Lagos, so I can see how Lagos would win the title for being capital of this Atlantic province. His Highness Oba Rilwan Akiolu, is one of the few monarchs that takes an active political role in his traditional territory.
Nigeria overtakes South Africa to Become Africa's Largest Economy, mainly due to Lagos economic progress

Do not neglect to build up the surrounding suburbans, rural areas leading to Lagos because this will drive more people into the city and drive down progress due to overcrowding, crime and disease will rise.
Same people that joined the north to kill easterns when gowon broke the aburi accord will always be making noise everywhere in the name of restructuring. What restructuring will be better than the one they agreed at ghana.
Aburi Accord was a historic illegality which would have made the country 100 times more lawless than what we currently have if it had been implemented. If you want detailed analysis as to why so, I will gladly oblige you.

chiagozien: i will like to have it If you think am wrong.
Good! Here they are: 1. Aburi Accord was an agreement hurriedly put together by individuals acting on emotions rather than deep thought, reason and extensive debates that characterize genuine law making process, hence it was bound to be fraught with a lot of loopholes that would have later created room for constitutionally approved lawlessness and eventual anarchy.
2. Aburi Accord was a proposal for confederation contrary to the sovereign will and choice of the people expressed as federalism in the we-the-people Independence constitution of 1957 drafted in London by duly elected representatives from every federal consituency thus in line with universally accepted standard procedure of constitution drafting.
3. Unlike the 1957 Independence and 1963 Republican constitutions, Aburi Accord was drafted by the military establishment which had already subverted and destroyed our sovereign constitution without us demanding a construction review in the first instance, and without them explaining to us why they did so. Also involved in the illegality were unelected civilians and civil servants who, by the civil service anonymity principle, should not be heard let alone participate in politics and the legislative process which derives from it.
4. It is a universal principle of democracy that it is civilians that make laws for military, and not the other way round as we have with Aburi Accord. The military must be subject to civilian and in fact elected politicians' authority. But while drafting the agreements in Ghana the soldiers in attendance, including Ojukwu, mocked and derided the politicians all through and even accused them of causing the crisis which was actually caused by their own mutinous fellow army officers who staged a coup that had no place in our constitution.
5. Among all the seven points of the Accord, there was no agreement on return to civil rule which majority of Nigerians were expecting back home, no fixed date for any election, nothing! it was all agreements on how soldiers were going to share power henceforth among themselves along regional lines. It was a regional army proposal. Where on earth is regional army ever operated? Those soldiers with the shared regional powers would have later had their emotional wounds healed with time and then unite into one big family which would have evolved into a perpetual and United power hegemony over the country.
6. With the implementation of the Accord, a precedent would have been set that any set of soldiers who don't like our sovereign constitution can just wake up from the barracks one day, allege corruption against the civilians, kick them out of power, throw away the constitution, pack themselves to a far away country, bring up another constitution from their own whims and caprices, return to the country, foist in on the people and go scot free. Then after sometime, another set of soldiers reapeat same, and it continues like that. You know soldiers always have a "good" reason to dislike an existing constitution drafted by politicians. Was that the kind of Nigeria you wanted?
It is a great way to get out of this quagmire but the legendary parasites won't like this. Our parasitic neighbors to the east and north don't believe in themselves and the future of their regions, they just have to hang on Yoruba's tail to death.

Restructure it yourselves. Oba Adefunmi II shows a positive to way to raise money among his community.
$10/month Can Literally Build and Preserve a Town
In June of 1970, Oba Oseijeman Adefunmi I (born Walter Eugene King) along with family and friends, fulfilled his vision of creating a nation that would institutionalize and commemorate the ancestral traditions of Africans born in America.
Oyotunji African Village (OAV) now stands under the 501(c)3 charter of the African Theological Archministry (ATA); and has forever changed the socio-economic and psychological framework of thousands of African-Americans for whom, through this contact, have regained their sense of being since the onset of slavery in the West. Hundreds of thousands of initiates, spectators and tourists have come, learned and extended the culture to their families and the four corners of this nation and the world...and they are still coming.
However, Oyotunji does not run on prayer alone. It is through the generosity of community members like you that that OAV is still here. The ATA, under new and growing Administration, has a 10-year plan for Oyotunji which sees much needed renovations, new construction, job creation and new community outreach programs implemented for the Low Country, SC area and more! Change Lives and continue to Change The World with Your Gift Today.
Why mixing the only culture that survived slavery with this topic? Oyotunji is the only African village in the western hemisphere founded by descendants of slaves, another feat that sets Yoruba apart from the wannabes. If you are an ojulowo omo Yoruba, you will create a special thread for it. Thank you btw for bringing it up, we need to make it a Mecca of some sort for Yoruba groups in the US and have thatched roof guest houses built for people to stay overnight if they don't already have them.
I just found this too about Oyotunji and they already have very old mud and thatched roof guest houses, I hope they renovate them since according to them, they were built back in the days when there was no electricity and running water.

Its called over exposure. Flooding social media with a thought you want to resonate with the people. I have been showing you arrogant ignoramus how its done. If you were even paying attention to how social media is done you would copy my technique and you would own a portion of the online media. Like you have a large group, how come you don't get your people to flood the social media with your agenda? How come you are so indirect? I am sure you don't worship Sango enough. You're supposed to worship each deity with equal measure, you put too much into Oshun. You need some fire, you need Sango. Sango burns down everything like fire, it spreads everywhere and that's how you must do social media.
This is the Aeon of Sango so I have it right. You need to do more study of Yoruba cosmology and African slave history. The first act His Majesty Oba Ademfuni I was establish the Sango Temple in New York City. It was there after his followers began to worship Sango did they find the courage to build Oyotunji.
Sango is the Alaafin of Oyo and the Oba of Kuso. Never forget that because this is one of the taboos that people make when worshiping Sango forgetting to show respect to the living Sango.
