France’s leading international goalscorer Thierry Henry was on Wednesday being touted as the next coach of Bordeaux who suspended Gustavo Poyet after just one league game of the season. Henry, a member of the 1998 World Cup winning team and who was part of Roberto Martinez’s coaching staff with Belgium at the World Cup, was emerging as the overwhelming favourite after a fevered round of speculation which had linked Laurent Blanc, Jurgen Klinsmann and Claudio Ranieri with the job. |
