From what I've seen in Lagos so far, the Sienna is not a friendly car for Lagos traffic. There is no day I dont see a broken down Sienna on Apongbon or Third Mainland Bridges with bonnet open and the owners standing helplessly beside it.

Like CityNgr has pointed out, avoid the Mercedes if you're a first timer. All the same, I've a deal for you, if you still want a Benz.

Please can someone explain if there is any major difference between 03 & 05 corolla? Heard the 05 comes with an immobilizer, will this reduce theft?

immobilizer does not make the car immobile when the cold metallic barrel of a COLT 45 or the shinning wood trim of an AK47 is displayed by men of the under world. Probably it can help against those vandals Sha.

One of my brother in law's has a special immobilizer on his corolla that once you open the door when car is on or not it would activate, so if you drive for some distance engine would switch off then you have to press some special key combinations for it to come on same with when parked b4 u start it you have to press a socket combo. unfortunately the person who did it then doesn't know what it's called and the mechanic who did it too is no where to be found

They are not scarce bro, and it's Electricians. I'll ask around, we've one installed in a Corolla. I was told that, most vandals who specialise in the theft of these cars are electricians and given time may always find a way out of the contraption.

Buy steering and pedal lock, then install keyless alarm so when the car is touched it blows the alarm, down side to alarm is when thunder strike, cats crawl over etc it also responds, if you live in same vicinity with your landlord he may give you quit notice for noise pollution

It started from 08, the predecessor 03 to 07 model year had some production run into year 2008.

When I bought my Camry droplight, I had an electrician install such for me and I use it till date. If men of the underworld point gun for my face,I go leave them make them waka with the car but in 4mins time,the car engine go stop, and the brake go seize and cos they no know the combinations to press,them go leave the car jakpa. I still have the guy's contact and I can get do these security stuff for anyone here just that he is in Onitsha, Anambra state.


I dey park my Camry any how with my mind relaxed about it's safety cos I know the only way to move the car,na through toying.

well its not done by mechanics, its the work of a rewire. i had it on done on nissan primera way back in school then and it worked perfectly till i sold it years later but still robbers might want you drive some distance with them to be sure ur car dont have something of sort. best help would be to get a car tracker

The scion is derived from Toyota yaris though with a much bigger 1.8L engine. I did say both the scion and xd are closely identical pick the xd because it is more recent and decent

From experience the civics that I have from 03 to 05 ..are fantastic cars no leg pulling at all, strong cars and very good on fuel easy for mechanics to work on ... but civic transmission can be very unforgiving, if you don't use the rite ATF ... forget people telling you that they don't age well... which car the age well for naija? When you wash your car with omo soap or laundry soap. Those things damage the paint of the car ....

Yeah next shipment I will get them for private usage.. Some of uber cars had a very nice paint, but now due to the soap been use the paint has faded. The harsh chemical been use at the car wash will damage your paint.. And you know that people can wash car everyday.. Ideally the more you wash your car ,the more the paints fades away ...unless you can wax the car to protect the paint from fading away....

I think people should stop missing luxury car with economy. Lexus and Benz are luxury cars. If u want economy choose among the 03 Camry & 03 corolla.
Lexus uses i think 3 or 3.5L engine size.

Camry. You have a lot to learn and definitely don't want to do so on a Mercedes
