It was earlier reported that a Nigerian man was killed recently in South Africa. The deceased simply identified as Williams a.k.a Willie - was said to have been killed on Saturday, August 25th, by fellow Nigerians following the war going on between Nigerians in the country. 

The deceased was killed by suspected cultists/thugs on Saturday in Gezina area of Pretoria, South Africa, hours after going to a club to relax with his friends.

According to reports, about seven Nigerians have lost their lives in South Africa (this year) following similar war caused by drug dealings, cultism and internet fraud otherwise known as 'Yahoo Yahoo'.

Last two weeks, a 28-year-old Nigerian, Okolie Olileanyi Paul, from Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State, was killed by a fellow Nigerian in South Africa.

He was stabbed during an argument that resulted in physical combat.  The sad event took place in Roodenport West Rand on August 17 in the wee hours when an argument ensued between the duo. 

This resulted in a fight and the assailant stabbed the deceased to death with several deep cuts.

The Nigerian suspect identified as Mr. Donald Mordi, has been declared wanted by the South African Police for alleged murder.

Our society is to blame for all these mess (at least to an extent)

When we have put enormous pressure on ourselves to "make it at all costs" and the "if you no get money hide your face " mentality plus making people feel worthless for not having a pile of cash to even those who have managed to have a pile of cash oppressing those without the cash.


All these things that our people do culminated into the desperation we see.

I have stayed in other African countries in the past, and volunteered in others

I have not seen people desperate for money and fast life in Africa like Nigerians
