He said it would have benefitted the PDP more had Ortom lost the case; hence they took the decision to let go of the case at the last minute.

They went to court to challenge Ortom's victory in the Benue APC primaries... Ortom joined APC after he had been schemed out of the PDP primaries that produced TARZOOR!

He withdrew the case because if they continued the court case, it would have affected the party at the 2015 Gubernatorial election.

So if Orton was disqualified based on primaries and the APC had won, the seat is still for the APC. They will only declare the rightful winner of the primaries as the winner of the election. In Ameachi case,he was lucky that the court didn't disqualify the primary that brought Ameachi opponent,so it is a different scenario ok.
