The 8th annual “Chale Wote“street festival of art took place here at James Town in Accra from August 20 – 26 in a colourful and memorable event.
The purpose of the festival is to promote the exhibition of alternative art in Ghana and to nurture an appreciation for different kinds of art among Ghanaians.
‘Chale Wote’ is a Ga word, meaning, “My Friend Let’s go!” which has been reference to slippers worn on the feet. Each of us comes from different walks of life but we all have something valuable to contribute.
