Ur wrong, Nigeria is a very rich country
no one will dispute that but our wealth has not done what it should do for the populace. what's the point of having all the wealth when your people are still suffering. it shows a proper lack of priorities and management.

Adding to that list, Germany pays its citizens an equivalent of 90k naira per month till 18 years..

Also, they choose careers/courses for their citizens according to your performance in school.. E.g of you are very good in maths.. Tthe government sponsors you for a math related course like Engineering...

Folks, Nigeria is down...

Not down but doomed with these kind of shitbrains we have as leaders.

The op is wrong on no 1 biko. U are not paid to keep street clean, it is your deposit on d plastics u get back. D 0.25€ is your money that u paid when buying the bottled water or beer or coke . it is part of d price of d drink that u paid already like a deposit and u get it back as a voucher when u return the bottle to the machine.

this is not entirely true. The 0.25€ you get for recycled bottles are what you initially paid for when you bought the drink. E.g if you bought a bottled water for 1€, the actual cost is 0.75€. but you paid 1€, you get back your 25 cents when you returned the plastic bottle.

please correct me if am wrong..

U are very right. D op is wrong on that. U only get ur deposit back. No one pays u anything

At the age of 14, you are permitted to drink alcohol and wines alike. Imaging visiting Germany for the first time, and everyone is walking dead drunk and sober?. That must be a very strange encounter.
it is IMAGINE not IMAGING

I beginning to ask, when and who told us to be dumping pure water and plastic waste in the street
Nigerians are naturally dirty and some are just too lazy to keep their area clean

No one will dispute that but OUR wealth,,,

What's the point of having all the wealth when YOUR people are still suffering,

Are they my people or are you not part of them?

If you are opportune to collect 50 million naira bribe from any prominent politician won't you collect it?

You are very correct but it still helps to keep the streets clean.

This is HUGE misconception about Nigeria. Nigeria is NOT a rich country. How much is our GDP even with the 2 million barrels of crude oil we sell daily? Spread it over our 180 million population and what do you get? Nigeria is not in the league of oil rich nations. This is a group that comprises countries with huge oil deposits but small population. Saudi Arabia has a population of about 33 million, UAE about 10 million, Qatar about 4 million....oil money can work for them. It cannot work for Nigeria. Take a look at what is happening in Venezuela, one of the world's highest oil producers. The economy has collapsed and they are looking at inflation rate of up to 1 million percent. Oil could not save them. Its citizens are leaving in droves to neighbouring countries as refugees. I admit we have a problem of poor leadership but we must understand, that has made us poor, not rich. Oil money on it's own even with the best management, cannot give us a standard of living found in developed nations. We must diversify our economy to be rich. For now, Nigeria is a POOR country even with the oil. Our leaders are corrupt and irresponsible but even they would envy the irresponsibility and profligacy of the oil rich Arab aristocrats.

Their laws are working the people are not complaining so much except the far right groups.Imagine being paid to keep the street clean that is awesome. And a good initiative from their government.Prostitution is one of the oldest professions in the world so it is not a crime for it to be legalized.
Nothing is strange, weird or bizarre here.
it is not all the water can that are been collected by the machines. Every supermarket has a machine that collects and pay you 0.25€ for each plastic water can and 0.8€ for each bottle. Some can return as many and have up to 20 to 30€. But the truth is the 0.25€ is added when you are buying the water/beer/juice etc. It is like when u buy drink in Nigeria and they will hold ur change and give u back when u return d bottle.

Re: Top4 Strange Things About Germany by Nobody: 10:19am On Sep 04, 2018
Somethings d op put up there are not totally clear. In order to avoid plastic and bottles not litter the streets, most bottles can be recycled after use. How?, when u buy drinks, 25 cents is taken from u the customers, u only get that 25 cents back once u return the empty bottles to the machine. So is actually ur money taken earlier.

However, sometimes, if it's just 1 bottle u got as u buy a drink, some people might not really like to hold it until they home, they sometimes just simply trash it. Then u have some people check trash for randomly thrown bottles from different people to find some recyclable bottles and get 25 cents each as they return it to the machine. And of course if you have more bottles in ur house people rather take it to the machine yourself and get the money taken from your purchasing them before. It's your money.

It's also funny how u people quick to convert euro to naira conveniently as if u spend naira in Germany. The question is, what can the 90k buy you in Germany. Huge in Nigeria but not enough for a real fun weekend and take care of ur hair.

Is good, better than Naija miles and miles away. But a lot things about Europe are exaggerated and misrepresented. Not all pictures on Facebook are really true. U work ur azz off like in Germany. Like 14 hours or more a day to pay your monthly bills only and very lil savings if u are into genuine hustle.

Abeg make I park here

Waste recycling is one potential poverty alleviating drive we are yet to appreciate in this country.

Wish we can sell the idea to our leaders.

They know but they don't want cos they want the citizens to suffer.
