This was mainly achieved through stringent fiscal discipline and proper management of the country’s resources by the government. Largest doesn't always translate to the best. Example is Nigeria. Largest only means there is more activities/money circulation. When u consider that the Nigerian economy supports 200 million people but SA supports less than 60 million then the quality of the economies becomes clear.

Some giant are giants because they have cancerous growth and fibroids while some big persons are perfectly health. You choose which is better.

Did Buhari cause the poverty? No. All past leaders from Yakubu Gowon have failed us in one way or another.

Is poverty going to increase or even accelerate? Most likely. Our people are not educated enough to make good political decisions.
For example, how can Mughalu a professor in economic development, former CBN director, tuft lecturer, put himself forward for leadership and all we care about is that he is Igbo. Such thinking would keep poverty rising for a few more years. I am not Igbo cause I know that's what you are thinking now.
