The Imo State Commissioner of Police, Dasuki Galadanchi, on Tuesday in Owerri handed over two children abducted and sold for N200,000 in Akure, Ondo State capital, to their biological parents.

The CP, who paraded the suspect, Mary Paul, before reuniting the children – Unmi Isiaku,5; and Habib Awalu, 7 – with their parents, Marutala Ishaku and Awalu Muhammed, said the victims were stolen three weeks ago in Akure.

Galadanchi explained that the suspect became a tenant in the house the children lived with their patents to perfect her plan of abducting the kids.

The police boss said, “I want to hand over these two children – Unmi and Habib – to their fathers. But before I do that, let me show you the woman who stole them three weeks ago in Ondo State.

“The suspect, Mary Paul, became a tenant in the compound where the children were living with their parents. She stayed for only four days before she stole the kids.

“These children were part of the 11 children we rescued a few weeks ago. These children – a boy and a girl – were stolen three weeks ago. By the grace of God, my men from the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad rescued them and arrested the suspect.

“We must preach against trafficking in human beings. Children are special gifts from God and we must work hard to protect them.

“After stealing these children in Ondo State, the suspect, who hails from Cross River State, ran to Imo State to sell them.

“The amount she sold the children will tell you that some people have sold their souls to the devil. We must keep uncovering them. I assure you that this woman will not go unpunished. We will charge her to court.”

In an interview, the suspect said she sold the children for N200,000 .

She said, “I rented an apartment in Ondo State, in the same compound where the parents of the children were living with the sole aim of abducting Unmi and Habib.”

Muhammed, the father of Unmi, told PUNCH Metro that he suspected that Paul was responsible for the disappearance of their children when she moved out of the area a few day after the children got missing.

#200000 is just about $560 not even enough to rent a nice home or even to buy keke. But you sold a whole human for 200k, should i say is poverty or wickedness?

May God bless Northern Police and Soldiers who are in the East, fighting crimes day and night. If not for these guys, Columbia and Mexico would've been a child's play compared to the East, when it comes to CRIMEs.

No wonder, other Nigerian's are can not be found in that region. The criminal and hustile nature of the region, can be compared to war zones like, Central African Republic or Syria. Where everybody goes indoor on or before seven pm.

Many years after slavery was abolished, black people are still selling fellow blacks for money or trafficked for prostitution or slavery.

Oh yeah. And they are quick to blame the whites for slavery. Respect is earned. Blacks place no values on themselves. Where is the outrage?
