It's time for Prestashop 1.7. But there are many developers have to install Prestashop 1.6 for their clients.

If you install Prestashop 1.6 on a server with Mysql 5.7, you will get an SQL error on query occured installation process: All parts of a PRIMARY KEY must be NOT NULL, if you need NULL in a key, use UNIQUE instead

You might want to try many times, but you can not finish the installation process because this error will breaks the installation.

So, how can we fix it?

First, Open your Prestashop-package/install/data/db_structure.sql file.

Then, Find

CREATE TABLE `PREFIX_cart_product`

Look below this line and change PRIMARY KEY to UNIQUE
