RS Hunter Limited-Our client in the Media sector is currently in need of an Accountant. An accountant is responsible for applying accepted accounting principles and procedures to analyse financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.

Location: Lagos

Job Description
Execute all financial accounting duties for Cash management, Accounts Receivable, Inventory, Sales, Purchase and Accounts Payable.
Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements.
Analyse business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
Make relevant recommendations to the management based on analysis and status of reserves, assets and expenditures.

Requirements
Have relevant years of accounts processes working experience
Strong analytical skills with attention to details
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles
Knowledge of auditing practices and principles
Knowledge of applicable laws, codes and regulations
Knowledge and experience of accounting computer applications - MS Excel, Pastel and Sage
Usually a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, auditing, taxation and providing financial advice
BA/bsc Degree in Accounting or a related field.
Accounting certification is an added advantage
