JOB TITLE: ACCOUNTANT
Individual will be responsible for the measurement, disclosure/provision of assurance about financial information that helps managers, investors, tax authorities and others make decisions about allocating resource(s).

LOCATION: Apapa, Lagos
SALARY: 80,000-95,000 (To increase on confirmation)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Preparation and maintenance of Bank Registers, Bank reconciliations and all Bank Account transactions
• Maintenance of Petty Cash Accounts and Transaction; Prepare & maintain Statutory Accounts/transactions statements such as Payroll, VAT, PAYE, HMO, Pension, etc.
• Prepare Management and Financial Statements
• Maintain Customer Accounts/transactions according to company standards/template
• Assist Financial Controller in ad-hoc relevant projects and accounting activities
• Assist other functional units within the Finance team in carrying out jobs as and when required by the management.
• Perform weekly and monthly physical stock, assets and tools checks/count at all locations and highlight variances to the management
• Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, monthly and ad-hoc inventory levels and consumption reports to all the relevant departments
• Working with Store Officer to maintain acceptable and accurate inventory levels at warehouse/inventory locations
• Coordinate with the production (workshop) and supply chain teams (store, director, etc.) to ensure that records relating to inventory in the Material Requirement Planning (MRP/SAP) are properly maintained.
• Coordinate with accounts/management to ensure that all product costs are properly taken in the cost of sales and inventory costing
• Responsible for communicating with all department managers and purchasing on inventory levels and locations
• Ensuring that goods received by warehouse are matched with the actual invoices from the suppliers in the MRP (SAP) system
• Ensuring that finished goods/parts shipped to the customers are matched with the actual invoices issued to the customers in the MRP (SAP) system
• Coordinate with engineering to ensure that work orders are closed in SAP according to company procedure
• Coordinate with warehouse team to implement and ensure control system to reduce damage, loss, breakage, inventory obsolescence etc.

REQUIREMENTS
• A first degree (HND or BSc) in Accounting, Banking and Finance and related fields
• A professional qualification (ICAN , ACCA)
• Not less than 2 years’ experience
• Ability to meet deadlines
