Residents of Challenge area of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, are set to become partakers in Mr. Bigg’s mouthwatering bouquet of Nigerian and continental menu served in exquisite ambiences as Nigeria’s pioneer quick service restaurant with a national presence formally unveils its newest outlet in the sprawling city. UAC Restaurants, owners of the Brand will Thursday welcome its vast array of customers at a ceremony slated for its premises in Challenge, a very popular and major commercial hub of the largest city in the west coast of Africa.

The new, purpose-built facility, according to a statement by Mrs. Joan Ihekwaba, Managing Executive, UAC Restaurants, comes on the heels of Mr. Biggs Food Fest, the highly successful out-of-restaurant activation that showcased the rich array of improved menu offerings available to consumers and which, reports say, has greatly impacted on sustenance of existing customers’ patronage and attraction of new ones.

Described as a showpiece in modern architecture the new, outlet offers families a truly enthralling ambience in addition to culinary satisfaction. According to Ihekwaba, "the New Mr Bigg’s restaurant in Challenge is built with the company’s latest brand- build design, contemporary in all ramifications and adorned to suit the lifestyle and taste of our target market consisting mainly of youth and young adults. It is tastefully furnished to take care of various seating styles ranging from single to family and group without leaving out the kids for whom we have always had special consideration in our restaurants over the years. For this important component of the family, there is an added innovation incorporated to ensure that they are not left out of the delightful satisfaction and pleasure on offer at the new restaurant”.

Fully cognizant of the rich cultural heritage of the people of Ibadan, Ihekwaba says Mr Bigg’s Challenge will maintain the Brand's tradition of connecting with its immediate environment in its menu planning. Towards this end, she says the eternal amala, gbegiri and ewedu will be a prominent feature in the new restaurant in addition to continentals like rice meals of fried, Jollof, Chinese and coconut variants and not forgetting “our famous pastries like doughnuts, cakes, chicken and meat pies, sandwiches. Of course, ethnic meals in the mould of yam and beans pottage and the fat-free, grilled chicken, fish, beef, cow skin etc are already very popular with our customers”, she concludes.
