For the purpose of reduced pain and economic advantage, shaving is a better alternative compared to waxing. However, both hair removal methods will be discussed.

Method 1
Here is how to shave your pubic hair without getting razor bumps:

#1 Trim your pubic hair with scissors before shaving. Trimming saves your time by preventing the hair from getting stuck in the shaving stick. It also prevents the hair from pulling at your skin.

#2 Dab a small towel in lukewarm water and use it to massage the pubic area repeatedly. This will open up your pores and soften coarse hairs.

#3 Apply a nice shaving cream to reduce the chances of sustaining a post-shave bump or lump. Just be careful not to put it in your Instruments to avoid inflammation and irritation. Based on skin type and hair, you might be able to fair well without the shaving cream. The only way to find out is through trial.

#4 Note the direction your pubic hair grows, and with a good shaving stick, shave throughout in that direction. Never shave against the grain even though it might give you a closer shave, it could lead to nicks and bumps.

#5 Apply baby oil or Aloe Vera after shaving to keep the area smooth. Never us a moisturizer with fragrance or chemicals as it may increase the possibility of an irritation.

Method 2
How to wax your pubic region in 7 simple steps

If waxing is your choice of preference for completely removing your pubic hair, it is noteworthy that there is an element of pain. Without much waste of time, here is how to achieve a comfortable waxing experience at home:

*How to prepare homemade wax for pubic hair removal

#1 Take a pain relief drug such as ibuprofen, aspirin or naproxen 30 minutes before waxing to reduce pain.

#2 Depending on your choice of wax kit (homemade hot wax or strip wax), follow the instructions of the application.

#3 Test the temperature of the hot wax by applying to your wrist, and then apply a thin layer to the pubic region if OK. Your pubic hair should be about a quarter of an inch (1 cm) long before you can wax it. Always be sure to apply wax in the direction of your hair growth.

#4 Begin with the most accessible part of your pubic region and work your way toward the anus. Remember to apply little wax to minimize pain.

#5 Allow wax to cool down. When it does, stretch the application area taught with one hand and rip off the dried wax with the other hand. Carry out the ripping with a fluid motion and in the direction opposite to hair growth. The process hurts, but it is manageable.

#6 Use tweezers to pluck remaining hairs if there any and then apply baby oil to prevent bumps or lumps.

#7 Give air access to the pubic region by wearing cotton underwear and clothing. This will help reduce the possibility of an irritation.

NOTE: Do not tan or expose your pubic region to harsh sunlight before waxing or shaving. This could increase the possibility of an inflammation or irritation around that area.

Conclusion

Generally, getting rid of your pubic hair is not a taboo. Nonetheless, from a medical perspective especially if you are a girl, getting rid of your pubic hair is not the best practice. In fact, risks such as razor burn, itching, infection, and redness might result from shaving your pubic hair. If shaving and waxing are done right and you are very careful with the process, you will at least experience no bumps.

Best way is to use shaving cream or bikini cream as some girls call it. They are not really that expensive considering the convinience it offers. Some cost just 1500 and can last more than 3 months
