IMPACT OF STRIKE ON NIGERIAN STUDENTS

Strike is caused by irregularities of lecturer salary, poor funding of education sector(Construction of classroom and providing some basic amenities) andLack of dialogue between Academic Staff Union.
All these result to strike actions, the effect of this strike actions is usually decreased in performance of students academic in tertiary institution.
Following the declaration of indefinite strike by the Academic Staff Union ofPolyechnic, of The Oke-ogun Polytechnic, Saki Chapter with effect from 14t July 2018 there is need to re-evaluate some of the he depressing effects strike actions has in the Nigerian students with special reference to The Oke-ogun Polytechnic, Saki (TOPS)
Students across various institutions of higher learning in Nigeria are constantly faced with industrial action, either by the Academic or Non-Academic Staff Union of various institutions. Most of these strike actions are caused by disagreement between the government and the unions of various institutions, arising from STUDENTS ementation or partial implementation of former agreements reached.
