The only reason for these senseless loans is to ensure that these countries don't support succession until their money is paid back and the source of the repayment is ironically in the region that must leave. Why don't this government utilise the Abacha loot which is more than enough. 2 Likes |

All I see on this thread are children who think a nation as huge as Nigeria is like their family house where they need 5k to feed for 2 days. They know nothing but refuse to ask for clarification. PMB carry go joor. We need capital projects IP and running and I know you will deliver. |

afroniger: This is a lazy man's view and shortcuts never helped anyone in life. The problem is our rulers fail to think long-term and the feeding bottle system where everyone goes cap in hand to Abuja for federal allocations. If we are to get serious Nigeria has to undergo economic and fiscal restructuring. This will force states to be more ingenious and make them think of ways to generate revenue. There's taxation, there's a lot of other untapped mineral resources. We can even go back to big time exportation of agricultural products including marijuana. Wake up and smell the coffee! 3 Likes |

Economic colonialism, that's where we are headed. Due to the high amount of loans and bail outs our lazy politicians keep getting from China and other Asian countries, it would be difficult to pay them off. So what happens next? China wins in the international court and takes over the government's valuable infrastructures and stuffs. Now what does that signify? Economic colonialism. Watch out people, it's real, it's already happening in Zambia. 2 Likes |

The problem has never been with borrowing. It is only a problem when we borrow and its not justifiable. Imagine the measures FG now has to take to ensure that the Paris Club Funds are at least utilized for the good of the masses who are the so - called 'reason' for the loan. |
