The question should be : how come there has been a drastic reduction in the frequency of the attacks since the arrest of the former Boko Haram warlord Tashaku who was under that state government's payroll, recieving 20million monthly?

You are thinking along the right path. The truth is that PDP was majorly behind the paid mercenary attacks in Benue which they quickly tagged as fulani herdsmen especially since the C in C is a Fulani man. The whole agenda was to discredit the administration of PMB.

Its on record that PDP promised Ortom that once he decamps the killings will stop. Ortom decamped and true to form the killings stopped. This clearly shows that PDP simply called off their paid mercenaries and reassigned them to other regions they wish to use the same strategy to get sympathy votes or armtwist the governor into defecting too.

Ever since the late security adviser to Goodluck Jonathan, Azazi who was assassinated for saying that PDP is bokoharam said what he did, it became more evident that a lot of the unprovoked killings and bloodshed in a lot of states have a political undertone and since APC is the ruling party and since it would make no sense for a ruling party to jeopardize its own chances in those states, it then would mean that the main opposition party PDP in its desperation to return to power has been doing anything and everything including using paid attacks and paid mercenaries to achieve this and unsettle the ruling party by setting the people against it.

PDP is a bloody, evil and a party for killers.
