Its very simple. Its a strategy by Tinubu to shake Ambode into submission and concessions. Ambodw will run dor 2nd term. But tinubu wants to reach him a lesson. |

i support Tinubu on this. This is one of the best political moves ever made by him.Ambode is a performer. He has been doing well particularly on Infrastructure. However, he caused this problem for himself by not being fair to members of his party and Tinubu refuse to impose it on them or help him out. Is this not good for our democracy? A governor who rode on party structure to get installed elected should balance governance and party leadership position in the state. Most APC stalwarts in Lagos are not happy with the governor. He woud get the 2nd term but he would have to retrace his steps |

CHAI! So it is no longer the people who decides who leads them in Lagos it is Tinubu. To the extent he even announces the next governor even before an election. |
Re: 2019: Tinubu Adamant About Decision On Ambode by Myself2(m): 11:09am On Sep 14, 2018 |
Trunaijian: There's no lesson to be taught, it's all politics, if Ambode gives concessions, he will still hold the knife and yam as governor to decide what policies to implement. If you doubt me,ask Atiku per OBJ in 2003.Do you even think there where no agreements/concessions given by Ambode to Tinubu in 2014 , so how comTinubu is so bitter right now So Ambode could just give him concessions and carry all of them out 100% to make the greedy bastard happy or give the concessions and implement half, and NOTHING WILL HAPPEN as he won't be running for a third term |

thunderfirebuha:Laugh! Did I promote godfatherism? Nope! But I just gave things as it is in Lagos. I am a PDP man but there are some realities I know having started politics from Lagos as a boy playing both sides (PDP and AD/AC) because I was close to chieftains of both in my local community back then. Now in politics, you can win election if you have strong/formidable party structure even if you aren't popular. Take Delta state for example! Ibori political family is very formidable but Great Ogboru was more popular than Oduaghan and Ifeanyi Okowa backed by Ibori political family. But both men defeated Ogboru simply because political contest is about structure and the ground you hold not just people loving you. Let's come back to Lagos, Mandate Group can return anybody as Governor including an Igbo or Ijaw man if Tinubu anoints him. Those that had tried to rebel against it like Koro, Jimi Agbaje, Pedro, Tokunbo Afikuyomi, Hamzat, Ganiyu Solomon, Buknor Akerele etc have ended up having their hands bitten and their loss strengthened the group. What made Tinubu so strong? His reward system! No be jazz o. See all those that rebelled, they all went back except Jimi Agbaje and Tinubu still accepted them and "rewarded them". Ganiyu Solomon who rebelled in 2007 was given Senatorial ticket that Tinubu had reserved for HIMSELF when he knew that his Senate Presidency that he eyed may not materialise (according to body language) but again he sacrificed his ambition for his comrade. Do you know that it was Mandate Group that told Remi to go to Senate and not Tinubu? Left for Tinubu, his wife Remi would remain at home with him but his loyalists in Lagos Island decided on her because they felt it was good and she oils their lives (she did as First lady and now Senator). Do you know why the former Lagos state APC Chairman was eased out? It was because he voted for the extension of Oyegun tenure and the Mandate Group saw it as betrayal of Tinubu, hence, he was eased out. You see in Lagos politics a betrayal of Tinubu can cost a person his career, ask Fashola. He can't be a Senator in Lagos, his best bet is appointment. The best for Ambo is to placate and renegotiate terms with Tinubu. BTW PDP contributed to Tinubu being powerful as far back as 2004 till date. 3 Likes |

Righteousness89: I beg to slightly differ, tinubu practically own Lagos, grassroot and a good part of Lagos civil service. he kind of influenced who gets picked as kings all through lag even ife king, the head of market women and traders is his daughter, the NURTW Lagos boss is loyal to him, many state house of assembly member are loyal to him including LGA chaimen, and at least two senators. should ambode decamp today, he faces impeachment tomorrow. ambode's only saving grace are the unbiased electorates |

TonyeBarcanista: You are on point. I don't know why people don't understand it. I don't like Tinubu's politics and I wish Lagos will get a new party for a change but you have to respect the man, he controls Lagos and since Funsho's death, no one in Lagos has had a structure that can trash him out. Unlike Fashola, Ambode's signature projects have failed. All because of his attempt to erase his predecessor's achievement but what he didn't know is that Fashola did not derail from the initial socio economic plan put together in the early 2000s by the likes of femi pedro, sanwoolu, hamzat and others under Tinubu's leadership. Tinubu is controlling but he treats members of his structure very well and they always have his back. People like Aregbesola, lai Mohammed, Chief Henry Ajomale constantly work with him. Even Fashola, who apparently abhors his controlling nature, stand by his side. Ambode messed up with the PSP deal and it exploded on his face but Tinubu is not ready to partake in that explosion. Let's watch as the drama unfolds 2 Likes 3 Shares |

bigpicture001: Mr low IQ, in case you don't know, everyone who ever contributed towards buhari's presidency a getting paid big time, and not only tinubu, even guys of the Kaduna Mafia, and the buhari organization. however the betrayal is rather political, and attempts to cut down his powers. or why else was yeye favor over faleke, why else did akeredolu get away with shady APC primaries. since you know much, why were buhari guys trying then to cause a rift between osinbajo and tinubu by writing thrash in the book about buhari, 1 Like |

If you have noticed Events in the South West u will see the Chief Tinubu influence has gradually Being reducing.. Mr. Fashola was not Tinubu choice for Lagos slot for Minister Same for Mr Fayemi in Ekiti Mr Akeredolu was not his choice for Governorship Tinubu has virtually Being cut off Ogun politics.. It's a matter of little time , His camp in Lagos will split.... Many are silently grumbling... You cannot hold the people for too long a time |

Myself2: Thus the strategy. Knowing it’s Ambode’s last term, there may be some refusal from his side, so in order to prevent that, there must be some middle ground and agreements that will ensure implementation. Oaths, mou’s, and promises involving third parties and legal documentation that are irrevocable must be agreed upon before support or endorsement for his 2nd term aspiration. |

It's the tragedy of Lagos State. But I know that Adedibu and one other unconscionably-driven waste of history did something similar, calling themselves God. But today they are no more. History is watching in ultra high def. |
