Best Budget Phablets In Singapore So Far by dustin023(m): 10:33am On Sep 16, 2018
Nowadays, affordable phablets are already easy to find, as they have already established their own following in the smartphone market. In fact, not long ago, Apple has already jumped on the bandwagon and created their first ever phablet wielding a 5.5-inch screen. Remember the time when Steve Jobs swore that Apple will never go down that road? Those days are over.

You’ll never run out options for phablets if you’re shopping for one today. Most if not all smartphone brands now have their own line of phablets. The challenge now is finding one that will suit your budget and preference. Below is a list of the best phablets that you can find in the market today, all of which are available in Singapore.

Xiaomi Mi Max 2

If you need a budget phablet whose battery offers enough juice to make it home at the end of the day, then the Mi Max 2 has it. Costing just 342 SGD, the Mi Max 2 sports a ginormous battery of 5,300 mAh, intended to last for three days. At 6.44 inches, it wields many useful features including a rear camera at 12 megapixels, a 5 MP front snapper, and a decent Snapdragon 625 processor with 8 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz. The Snapdragon 625 chipset provides a decent browsing speed and performance, good enough for running demanding games and apps. Truly, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is a reasonably priced phablet packed with many features.

Oppo R11

The 699 SGD Oppo R11 comes with a sleek exterior, appealing to those who are on the lookout for a sophisticated phablet. This handset is considered as one of the best among its contemporaries performance-wise due to its Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, capable of supporting advanced photography and graphic-intensive gaming. Aside from its neat looks, this metal-clad, 5.5-inch phablet has a 20-megapixel camera that does a magnificent job of taking photos. These great features make the Oppo R11 a standout phone that the Chinese company should be proud of. Oppo F1s price is available at e-Commerce websites like iPrice.

Motorola Moto Z

For a flagship device, the 5.5-inch Moto Z comes at a reasonable price of 899 SGD. Aside from its large display, it hosts other impressive features like its Android Marshmallow OS that is upgradeable to the latest Android 7.0 Nougat and a 13 MP primary camera with laser autofocus. Also, it is integrated with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset coupled with a 4 GB of RAM, ensuring the user of a seamless, quick, and responsive performance. If you’re in the market for a flagship phablet with a large display, this is the ideal choice.

LG Stylo 3

At 308 SGD, the LG Stylo 3 is a stylus-wielding phablet that assures you that it won’t explode like the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. As the third installment of LG’s Stylus range of products, the Stylo 3 comes with a more refined and sensitive stylus, giving the user that real pen feel. It lets you easily doodle and annotate notes with a finer point of contact. Apart from its stylus, it is equipped with other fairly impressive features including a 3,200 mAH removable battery, the latest Android operating system (Android Nougat), and a fingerprint scanner. All in all, the LG Stylo 3 not only boasts a sleek stylus but also packs great features for a low price.

Sony Xperia XA Ultra

You can get your hands on this 6-inch behemoth for 648 SGD. It is clad in glass and metal, giving off a visually pleasing exterior like its cousins - Xperia X and Xperia XZ. Other features you can find on its exterior are the 21.5 MP rear camera, the 16 MP front snapper, and a 3.5 mm jack. In the software department, it comes with a built-in Android Marshmallow OS which will be upgraded to Android Nougat soon. While the Xperia XA Ultra’s hardware consists of a Mediatek Helio P10 processor, 8 cores, Mali T860 GPU, and a 3 GB RAM. With these specs, the Xperia XA Ultra is a capable device with great features that provide a worthwhile mobile experience.

While all the handsets mentioned here are pretty cool and affordable, be on the lookout for others that will arrive later this year. For one, the much-anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is soon to be released, but that is if you are willing to shell out more for such a premium device. However, if you’re simply looking to find the best available phablet in the market today without stretching your budget, you can start with the phones mentioned on this list.
