History was made on Tuesday As Messi Scores historic 8th Champions League hat-trick which makes him the first player ever to score eight hat-tricks in the Champions League after lifting Barcelona to a 4-0 win over PSV Eindhoven at home in Camp Nou.

The Argentine star opened the scoring with a superb free-kick in the first half before Ousmane Dembele’s solo effort doubled Barcelona’s lead in the 75th minutes of the game.

Messi’s second goal came by way of a curler after receiving Ivan Rakitic’s perfect lob in the box at 77th minutes.

Messi capped the night off by surpassing Cristiano Ronaldo for most Champions League hat-tricks with a right-footed strike in the 87th minute which was enough to seal the victory at home at Camp Nou as the 2018/2019 UEFA Champions League began fully.
