Is that the solution to fixing the bad road?

Nigeria have the following sea ports...

1. Lagos Port Complex and Tin Can Island Port in Lagos;

2. Calabar Port,

3. Delta Port,

4. Rivers Port at Port Harcourt, and Onne Port.

Why can’t the government decongest Lagos port by upgrading and utilizing other ports across the country?

When will Nigeria have visionary leaders and not these set of sentimental rulers?

What bad road ?? tankers are parked permanently on a highway with no penalty and u r talking bad roads

The ports you listed are open. Govt cannot force importers to use a particular. Their preference is Lagos. Just like many other things including your bloders hibernating in Lagos

The reason why they use the ports is because it is only Lagos that has the capacity to take the kind of cargo that the ships carry and this is as a result of the expansion of the port after the civil war. During the war shipping meant for eastern region was diverted to Lagos to enforce the blockage and after the war the government didn't bother to reinstate shipping or expand the other ports. The only time shipping was given attention in the Delta region was during Abacha era with the creation of Onne port. So my brother if you have good and visionary leadership. The ports will be upgraded and Nigeria will become a shipping hub for West Africa.
