Yesterday we witnessed yet another champions league matches. This time both Manchester clubs were in action with the reds playing away to BBC Young boys and the blue side of Manchester hosting the french side Olympic Lyon. Before the match, everyone expected city to make a soft work of Lyon and sports punters and analysts tagged it a 'work over'. To the surprise of everyone, the sky blues were 2goals down within the first 60minutes of the game and only managed to get a consolation goal towards the end of the game.
While city were giving their fans tachycardia in the Etihad stadium, the red devils were teaching their Switzerland host how to play the game. They not only outscored but also outplayed their host. United were so considerate and humane to score just 3 goals so that the football world wouldn't call them bad visitors.
The same Lyon that beat man city 1-2 at Etihadstadium yesterday were well beaten by Man-United in the Europa finals right before their home fans last season. Man city's woeful performance yesterday gives testimony to the fact that they are nothing but local champions. They can't stand their ground in the big stage
