I hope you know once your wage is increased, food price , fuel price, even electricity will be hiked because measures are not in place to prevent such sudden changes

Let them strike... after 2 months of no pay they will eventually get back to work. The only thing wage increase will do is raise prices for everybody, and we're back to square one.
