Turkey's first aerospace and technology festival,Teknofest , began yesterday at Istanbul's new airport with an unusual race between a Formula One racing car, a super bike, a fighter jet and several sports cars.



On the first runway sits a Challenger 605 private jet while Turkish Air Force's F-16 fighter jet takes the second runway.

Redbull Formula one race car driven by test driver and the Kawasaki H2R bike driven by former Supersport World Champion Kenan Sofuoglu, sits on the third runway.







Sport cars in the race includes the 430 hp Evora GT430(top speed 196 mph), 503hp Aston Martin V8 Vantage (top speed 205 mph , 613hp all-electric Tesla Model S P100DL(top speed 155 mph).





At the end of the race,the Kawasaki H2R hypersport motorcycle (an engineering marvel, the most powerful and fastest production motorcycle on the market) passed the finish line in 9.43 seconds, outpacing the Formula One car that came second by 0.04 seconds while the F-16 fighter jet came third.
