Ekiti State Governor Segun Oni has made a minor cabinet reshuffle as the Special Adviser on Health Integration, Dr. Toyin Adefolaju, has been moved to head SERVICOM in the state.


The state Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Mr. Taiwo Olatunbosun, who disclosed this to journalists in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday, explained that the move was to boost the ongoing reform of the state civil service embarked upon by the Oni-led administration.


He said that the appointment of a cabinet member as the head of SERVICOM would provide the much needed vigour in the public service for optimal performance.


Reiterating the commitment of the administration towards making the public service more productive, Olatunbosun said the new SERVICOM chief would be assisted by three senior executive assistants that would man the health, education and the public service sectors.


He assured that the state government would continue to provide a conducive working environment for its workforce, stressing the need for workers to reciprocate the gesture by performing optimally.
