These cases of killings going on the Nigerian Army needs to be taken seriously. The issues leading to these incidents need to be addressed. There needs to be psych evaluation from time to time especially for the soldiers posted to fight boko haram.

So how did a drunk infantryman get issued a firearm for duty, or how did he have it in the house? The dead 99NA was also at fault: how do you order an obviously drunk soldier to do guard duty with firearms? Is there no other p.d. they could have given him like doing some fatigue around the barracks?

our soldiers are losing it, there seems to be more discipline in the police than our army, imagine a trained soldier cant even shhot himself in the head, no wonder boko boys carry them dey shine.

Why would a guard commander put an inebriated soldier on guard duty rather than have him locked up in the guard room? Why allow a man who is drunk to handle a weapon? Speaks of unprofessionalism. Quite unfortunate his death will now have to serve as experience to any other dumb ass Nigerian soldier out there.

These guys are suffering from PTSD and TBI. I work with veterans in the US and i know that a whole lots of these acts would continue to happen soon because most of these soldiers coming back from fighting Boko Haram have seen so much and they needed to be rehabilitated. They need countless hours of therapy before they can function normally again.

The government need to hire lots of therapist to help this soldiers. Please don't confront any of the Nigerian soldiers you see out there because they will kill you without even thinking twice or realizing what they have done . Their families and superior officers need to be careful around these guys.

The Nigerian military barracks in Magadisu cantonment was thrown into chaos when a drunk soldier shot his fellow soldier over an argument on his alarming alcohol consumption rate.

According to our source, whose identity has been kept under anonymity, the soldier on uniform was granted a break, only for him to return heavily drunk.

The soldier on mufti being guard commander confronted him (soldier on uniform) and asked him to change up for duty. The drunk soldier went in, changed into his uniform, picked up his rifle, came back out and shot the guard commander.

The soldier went in, dress up, came out with his rifle and open fire on the guard commander……The tried using the last bullet in himself through his throat, the muzzle shifted and fired one syd of his mouth…….We don’t know if he’s still alive!!!!! �”.
