You think a woman can become a governor in Kwara State where Islamic tenets is held with passion or don't you know that it's a taboo for women to lead or rule over men in Islam? If Gbemi had won as governor of Kwara state then cos of her father's influence, the best she could have done was 4years (of course she couldn't have won anyways, in same kwara where it's almost impossible to have a Christian governor is where you expect to have a female governor) and that would have been the end of Saraki's dynasty.
But Bukola's success in sponsoring another person as governor (someone from kwara south as against Lawal and Bukola who spent 12yrs together as governors and are both from Ilorin) automatically made Bukola the new godfather of Kwara politics and the promoter of his father's name and dynasty, at a time when the father was old and dying, and with that step alone, he's now a force to reckon with in National politics
