People eat a whole lot of animals, some eat snakes, some eat dogs, some even eat cats and horses. Unless you're a vegetarian you're not supposed to complain when someone else eats another type of meat. Even as lovely and loyal our dogs are some countries still have ceremonies where dogs are butchered in their hundreds.

Now the crocodile is not an endangered species, we'll it depends on the specie of crocodile but there are several farms where crocs are reared for consumtion just like catfish. I'm not a fan of crocodile meat but I'll go with grasscutter or wild boar at Old English bar anyday

Alligators are common in Nigeria, anywhere close to streams. In fact, I killed one close to my farm few years ago, still hunting one that shows up close to my place.
