There is distinctly so much more to rap culture than just beats and lyrics. Nowadays the hip-hop culture is a real form of self-expression, the one seeping out in the unique and usually pompous lifestyle of artists across the world. And, of course, social media is by all means the main viewing window into the world of rap fashion. Scrolling through the rap stars Insta accounts is a true pleasure — a kaleidoscope of all luxury cars, houses, private jets and world’s capitals of the musical elite. Probably the most eye-popping element in the business, though, is clothing.
Fashion and music industry are now going hand in hand in representing the tastes of an artist. Through many years, rappers have turned from grimy thugs and gangstas into those shiny suit-lovers, sophisticated hipsters and skate culture fans. And today we’ve decided to choose 8 most stylish hip-hop superstars and review their unique ways of dressing. An article for https://etechgame.com.

1. A$AP Rocky
Trill rap star Rocky along with his A$AP Mob had come to prominence mainly as a thugger-like crew representing the streets of NYC and successfully combining ‘90s era casualwear standards as Timb boots, golden grills and herringbone chains with a high-end sneaker couture. In addition to A$AP Rocky’s sheer brilliance does not just shine through his obsession with streetwear brands and high-fashion trends, no one else is influencing the youth more than Pretty Flacko.

2. Drake
Drake is the modern-day crown prince of both preppy style and street boy coolness. In those days when the “God’s Plan” artist is not seen in designer sweaters, we can notice the rapper rocking sweatpants and custom crewnecks by his label - OVO. What’s more, Drake seems to love nice varsity jackets and often stunts in Versace items for special events. Overall, his fashion taste is pretty similar to his rhymes – always rich in nuances, inviting more and more new fans and catering primarily for women.

3. T.I.
Now T.I. has made a truly smooth transition from those hustler’s swaggy trends to CEO style. Back in the day the man had all hip-hop fans thinking they can rock a tilted beanie just casually. In the recent days, he tends to swing from his own Akoo apparel line generally to Ralph Lauren bespoke suits. T.I.’s preppy leans give him that “Hollyhood” kind of look despite his occasional trips to lockdown.

4. Pharrell Williams
Pharrell is probably your most favorite stylish artist’s favorite stylish artist. His approach – definitely cool, with the offbeat witty details appears to be influencing many people in the game, including Jay, Kanye West and Pusha T, and perhaps the bigger part of the new school rappers certainly owe him. Pharrell is a true pioneer in nerd culture in opposition to hip-hop style’s hegemony and he is the one who actually made it cool and casual to wear high-end, skate pieces, a number of anime-related accessories in fruity colors and still remain a certified rap megastar. Topping it all, he does a cleanup really well.

5. French Montana
Even one word can be used to describe the simplistic, yet high-flown taste of French - Versace, Versace, and of course - Versace. It may be relaxing enough to know that you got your fashion game on lock. This is what French Montana decided to keep doing with Versace’s assistance.

6. Migos
This all-“supastars” trap trio makes a global force, with the dudes’ entire persona being based mostly on stunting street-approved trends and designs paired with top-notch lux footwear. The members - Quavo, Offset and Takeoff are normally noticed adorned head to toe in Bathing Ape camo items in addition to their necessity for Balmain denim pieces and some other churn out eponymous inclines with their own clothing label standing for wealthy youth.

7. Future
This guy’s lyrics are basically littered with numerous references to high end designer labels. The Atlanta rap persona bases on excess and luxurious designers like Gucci, Fendi, YSL and Balenciaga. Future’s versatile and diverse taste comes from Japanese labels and recently the J’s supporter has moved to more advanced footwear options like Adidas x Rick Owens ones. The rapper also keeps it pretty much hood in a wide variety of Bathing Ape military-inspired garments.

8. Young Thug
Thug appears to live in his own unique world. Oftentimes he can do something on purpose knowing that will surely piss many people off. The Atlanta native goes out of his own different way to make sure everybody knows he doesn’t care. The artist’s style can be called genius in his disregard of others, rocking kicks by Nike x Riccardo Tisci Air Force 1’s swapping them with Hood By Air Avalanche boots paired with progressive tops from Fendi and Margiela, doing so with absolute conviction.
