FG recalls Benue Paris refund-

Abeg, just how wicked is this Osinbajo sef?
I mean, as a SAN, Senior Pastor and VP, you'd think he'd insist on fair, equal and just treatment of all states, rather than suffer the poor, underpaid STATE GOVT WORKERS- to what, punish Ortom?

Or, if his oga refuses, to declare his position publicly- or resign with his honor intact...
Well, he's obviously as vindictive as buhari.

Anyhow.
Topic of the day:

………

Alternative Solutions To Minimum Wage

@ N18,000/month = N600/day
extreme poverty index is N720/day o!

Many state govts fail to pay this.
(Osun is modulated, Imo is half week)
Some Fed govt pensioners being owed up to 15 years?!?

Where will you get money to pay N65,000 minimum wage?
- Are the unions willing to live with full petrol deregulation?
- ‎Are they willing to pay more VAT?
- ‎Are they ready to buckle up and actually work?
- ‎How many hours do civil servants in the North work on Fridays?

Meanwhile:
- ‎What has labour done to ensure public services PERFORM better, over the years?
- ‎What have the unions done about CORRUPTION in the public sector?
- ‎Of all institutions in Nigeria, which one- compared to NLC via govt workers- has a greater power, insight and opportunity to be WHISTLEBLOWERS?

LOL.
But seriously:
IT SHOULD BE CRYSTAL CLEAR THAT LABOUR UNIONS ARE THE GREATEST TRAITORS TO THE POOR IN NIGERIA.
.………

ALTERNATIVE SOLUTIONS TO MINIMUM WAGE
These are what labour should actually be fighting for-

1. Focus on better welfare for govt workers:
- Free healthcare and antenatal care.
- ‎Emergency care through private clinics/HMOs.
- ‎Free schooling through to uni graduation.
- ‎Free school meals for pri/sec/uni students.
- ‎Free transportation to and from school/work.
- Modernised teaching and exam standards for all levels of education. We must learn better to be better.
If any of the above facilities are below par, who do we blame, but the NLC and govt workers?

2. Force govt to focus all govt resources on multilayered, multilateral, DECENTRALIZED power generation.
Otherwise every other action will be useless.

3. ‎Demand the entrenchment of competence and merit.
Establish standardized tests for all civil servants due for promotion.

4. ‎Compel finance ministry to deputize all nonessential MDA staff in fg/SG/lg offices to the FIRS/SIRS:
To locate and collect taxes from non-paying firms.

5. ‎Demand downward review of all upper level govt staff wages.

6. ‎Complete scrapping of ALL public servant allowances.
- And constituency projects.
- And overlapping (special, ordinary, even supernatural) assistants, advisors, political jobbers, etc.
If between NASS, MDAs and their staff, you fail to meet up, STEP DOWN for more competent people.

7. Demand an end to security votes and force all govts to provide complete transparency in all govt finances.

8. ‎Promote the demystification of religious practices:
- National Broadcasts of religious practices in other nations.
- Open debates on religious superstition and false doctrine.

9. ‎Demand for lowcost housing:
- 10 storeys each, 40 flats per building, per local govt, per year.
- ‎All conduits and connections present- but without walls/demarcations.
- ‎Buy your 20ft container, meet standard design specs and move it in.
- ‎Strictly for lowest level govt workers.
- ‎Low impact, long term, monthly mortgage payments.

10. Demand the independence of the judiciary: - Armed with their own budget aimed at modernizing every court in 5-8 years;
- And the institution of juries, so the common man can have justice in any state/federal court.

Remember:
This is what ONLY THE NLC should have been doing.
Imagine when we involve all undergraduates; pensioners nko? wot of farmers, market women and domestic staff?

But will #lazynigerianyouths agree to promote these ideas?
