Nigeria's senior women's basketball team, D'Tigress have qualified for the quarter-final of the World Cup after a nervy 57-56 victory over Greece this afternoon.

Evelyn Akhator recorded a 14-point, 13-rebound double-double performance in the win.

They will play the USA on Friday.

Even though I disagree with Igbo on politics, I give the girls credit for this performance as it's entirety Igbo which I personally don't have problem with .Well done girls. First time in the history Nigeria went this far. Beating USA though is like saying Kemi Olunloyo will be Nigeria president in 2019, likely but impossible!
