I got it green in lagos srt 4669(only audio) with 4.4m,but it seems the signal is on 7.2 degree west not 7 degree. So, u may miss some of the stations on nile while you are on 7.2. This only good for those with a motorized set
Re: Abudhabi Sport Testing by Adeexy: 10:05am On Jul 22, 2010
@ Badaru

What signal quality did u get?
Re: Abudhabi Sport Testing by mecussey(m): 12:29pm On Jul 22, 2010
Why are my getting JSC sports on that transponder; is it not 11449 H 27500? Its green and Jsc 1 to +4. Wonders shall never end !

@ Solo1ng1,
Try to strike a balance by lowering your dish while you keep an eye on your signal strength between JCS and Abu Dhabi. Alternatively, you may decide to install another LNB for 7.2 deg west along with the one for 7.0 deg west.

I tried the 11449H27500 tp around 8.30pm yesterday, no show, is their any other tp to be used?
Re: Abudhabi Sport Testing by mecussey(m): 8:26pm On Jul 27, 2010
Make sure you use an MPEG 4 Strong 69x. With 63x the signal is RED but with 69 the signal is green with JSC sports fed to it. They are currently testing another transponder 11488 H 27500 but still RED. There HD box is 273 USD i.e 999AED with one year subscription. Honestly, I don't understand those guys oooo
Re: Abudhabi Sport Testing by const6(m): 8:34pm On Jul 27, 2010
I tried both frequencies this evening and i got both of them with daarsat with signal quality @82%.

Note when inputing the signal, remember to change from S to S2 and QPSK.

Everything is encrypted now, as at the time i tried with 3.4m it seems they have gone off.

Re: Abudhabi Sport Testing by solo1ng1: 6:19am On Jul 28, 2010
I think am missing something, with my daarsat decoder and 4.4m, i still get red on the 11449 h 27500 S2, QPSK,
Or my timing is always bad, since they are not stable,

Re: Abudhabi Sport Testing by solo1ng1: 9:18am On Jul 28, 2010
This their Humax HD decoder is tempting, provided it can also be used for FTA, 999AED is like 43k and u also have option of buying only the card for 370AED, about 16k, if the Humax HD decoder is open, then its a good buy, for both card and HD bod with 1yr subscribtion.
10 HD channels are now broadcasting over 2 frequencies
DVB-S2, 11449H, 27500 5/6, QPSK
DVB-S2, 11488H, 27500 5/6, QPSK
6 sports channels + Fox Movies HD + Sky News HD + Nat Geo HD …

But will the card work with the 9x decoders?
Olofofo, enitan, badaru, george, what do you think of the box n card?

@ Solo1ng

I think u not getting something right, cos it didn't take 2 minutes b4 we got d signal, I think the easiest way is to get ur dish motorized and dats it, I dont mean using Jack and positioner (getting all satelites on d arc) dat should give u d signal. With daarsat got signal on that tp up to 100%.
Re: Abudhabi Sport Testing by coderXO(m): 6:12pm On Aug 01, 2010
Hello All.

I got here out of my absolute desire not to shell out N10k per month for next 8 months to DSTv (per the recent
HiTv debacle.)

I know absolutely nothing about FTA.

Where do I start folks?

ADMC I am believing is the what I need to get.

How do I go about it?

I live near in Ikota near Ajah.

We have all sorts of dishes in my house,

I believe we have a 3-4m dish,
2 2m dishes,
1 black net dish

But where does an absolute beginner start in this?
Premiership starts in 2 weeks.

Thanks for your help. in advance.

Another test frequency is available, this time on MPEG 2, 11432 V 27500. It's green and fed with JSC sports. @ Coda xo, you need to start from the beginners thread but EPL is not anywhere free unless one match per wk.

I've read abit of the other FTA "seasons" but it's just too many pages to dig through.
Yes I know it is not free. I am aware I need to buy the card, but I'm sure it won't
cost me the 80k per season for Dstv.
Re: Abudhabi Sport Testing by mecussey(m): 9:31am On Aug 02, 2010
Yes, with 280USD, i.e 1000AED, i.e N42,000 you will have a season subscription on an HD box from Abu dhabi sports. Simply track the satellite with ur 4m metal dish and just like that you on the way. Better, go for CTL; if you stay in the East; it's going to be 3000 x 12 =N36,000 and you shall watch any interesting football match played on this planet.
Re: Abudhabi Sport Testing by Ameboperoo(m): 10:07am On Aug 02, 2010
Are they going 2 air both EPL and ECL? Is is possible to watch multiple channels on their decoder? These are some of the question in my mind.
