We now rarely hear of ballot boxes being snatched across multiple polling booths, thumbprinting in one politician's house or INEC officials doing thumbprinting for a party.

What we now have is vote buying, inducement and cases of intimidation. Over time with more enlightenment and sophistication, this should be reduced.

We can say from votes rarely counting in the past, they are now beginning to count. The courts are also there for aggrieved parties to approach to seek redress for whatever injustices they feel disturbed by.

Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
