The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate, Gboyega Oyetola winner of the Osun State governorship election.

The election held on Saturday was declared inconclusive by INEC, which necessitated a rerun on Thursday.

INEC’s Returning Officer, Professor Joseph Fuwape declared Oyetola winner, having polled majority of votes in the election, to defeat Senator Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Oyetola polled 255,505 votes to defeat Adeleke, who got 255,023 votes.

In the rerun election, the APC polled 1,160 votes won massively in all contested wards and polling units despite outcry of alleged rigging and intimidation of the opposition party, while PDP got a paltry 325 votes.

This election is also inconclusive, going by INEC inconsistent decisions.

The margin is also small to have a winner.

Where are the votes deducted from PDP polls especially the 1000 votes from Ayedaade local government.

Anyways, PDP should file a tribunal.

Lawyers will be happy with this, time to collect their own share of the cakes.

If you're very young like me and still believe in Nigeria, please do your unborn kids a favor. Hustle hard and eject off this country asap. 2019 will be bloody! I don't support APC or PDP shiit, Infact I don't fvcking care about Nigerian politics, I only wish for a better future for my family and obviously, this isn't possible in a lawless country. For those who still think they're sending Buhari back to Daura in 2019, Osun and Ekiti state election should explain better. That lifeless nigga ain't going anywhere, forget that PVC and get a Visa.

This is a rape to our young democracy.... I sob for Nigeria.. It's so glaring that APC can and will do anything to win elections and retain power in 2019. I don't see any reason to vote in 2019. I will advice young Nigerians to fight their way out of this shit hole country... Things will always turn out worse as time unfolds. So pathetic

Been laughing all day from the comments I have been reading here. Thank you Nairlanders for a wonderful E-warrior battle day for our democracy.

Summarily speaking, PDP won on Saturday, APC won today.

The fact that PDP did rigging and whatnot for 16 years doesn’t mean we should also allow APC do it too, else we’d be moving around in circles instead of progressing or moving forward as a nation.

But seriously you guys, thank you so much for today, I love the tribalistic diversity (which isn’t really healthy) but gives a deeper understanding on the pains and glory of different sides.

I just had to comment today
