WHAT YOU SHOULF KNOW ABOUT LETTER OF ADMINISTRATION by Legalolumoran(m): 9:19am On Sep 28, 2018
When a person dies without a WILL and left some monies in his bank, or Properties, the same banking law that restricts anyone from gaining access into someone else's account still operates to restrict everyone including his own spouse, children or relative from accessing his funds

Also, the Law prevents anyone from dealing with the belongings of the deceased, this document is what empowers the persons (at least two) named therein to so do.

Now, back to the point... This letter isn't that which you can rush to the office of a legal practitioner to draft for you "sharp sharp", it's not Letter Writing, neither is it a Letter a lawyer will apply for at the probate registry of the High Court and get "sharp sharp".

It usually takes some time, I will alert you to brace up for a waiting period of not less than 3months including the 21day publication period and with thorough follow up.

Below is the order of priority for beneficiaries to apply for the grant of L.A

The Surviving spouse
The Children of the deceased or the issues of any child who predeceased the deceased
The Deceased’s Parents
Brothers and Sisters of the Deceased
Half Brother(s) and sister(s) of the Deceased.
Grand Parents
-Uncles and Aunts, etc

I hope this helps?
