Ibeju Lekki Local Government has indeed become one of the choicest landscapes not only in Lagos state but in Nigeria as a whole.
Prior to its creation in 1990, Ibeju Lekki was treated as a suburb of Epe and it derives its name from two autonomous communities Ibeju and Lekki.
Since 1990 till date, so many things have changed and Ibeju Lekki can be regarded as one, if not the fastest growing local government in Nigeria.
Due to the numerous industrialization activities going on within the local government area this has led to economic prosperity thus improving the standard and cost of living within the Ibeju and Lekki suburbs.

Talking Point

Every 4 (four) years in present day Nigeria, the people gather to elect new leaders that will represent and carry out the yearnings of the electorates in all elective political positions. Different aspirants, from different parties with different ideologies will emerge and at the polling booths, the people will choose and decides who will represent them. According to Karl max in his political theory of class struggle, he said “The oppressed are allowed once every few years to decide which particular representative of the oppressing class is to represent and repress them”. In this context, Ibeju Lekki has been oppressed by its representatives and the time is ripe to change the status quo.
The rapid industrialization going on within the Ibeju Lekki axis has led to the degradation of the natural habitat, roads are in bad shape, majority of roads in communities within the local government area are nothing to write home about the oppressing class are busy fattening their largesse to the detriments of the people. The daily traffic congestion witnessed daily within the Apapa axis of the state will become a child’s play to what will be experienced within the Ibeju Lekki local government area when the Lekki Free Trade Zone becomes fully operational if nothing urgently is not done to constructs and rehabilitates all bad roads within the local government area.
Since the beginning of the 4th republic in 1999, we have been represented by legislators who are in the legislative houses to serve their personal interests and this has been one of the greatest impediments to growth within the constituency. Now it’s time to have a legislator that represents everybody’s interests. A legislator than is fearless, a legislator that is courageous, a legislator that will make/move motions that will promote equity, fairness and economic prosperity within the constituency. Sentiments aside, A man that can deliver, a man whose track records is worthy of emulations, It’s time for us to elect and vote for a purposeful visionary leader in the constituency, It’s time to vote in someone with the charisma, someone who has the idea, the roadmap and the vision to change the economic transformation of its constituents. It’s time to bring in AKOREDE OLUWASESI OJOMU.
Party leaders, Youths, Market women, Students, Religious and traditional leaders it’s time to rally around Akorede Oluwasesi Ojomu. The Mandate belongs to him. Only Akorede Oluwasesi Ojomu has what it takes to take Ibeju Lekki to greater heights.
You cant give what you don’t have neither can you eat your cake and have it is time to have an efficient representative that is effective, credible and poised to achieve greatness. When a man has shown the traits of good leadership, it is time to give it to him.
This mandate is our mandate, Akorede LAHA 2019 is our project and it’s our collective responsibility.
It’s time to market Akorede Oluwasesi Ojomu tomorrow may be too late, the time is now…
