Some unknown gunmen kidnapped 16 persons with six of their victims from the same family.

The incident happened along Brinin Gwari-Kaduna highway on Tuesday evening, around 5:30 pm.

According to an eyewitness, the armed bandits kidnapped the victims around Tashar Keji/Tsauntsaye near Kuriga and Palwaya.
