And this is a big business boom for the few artisans that into the trade, and they will not let you know of this secret any way. Now how much you make per job, depends on the number of windows and the type of blind demanded by a customer. For a wooden window blind, for instance, the factory price is usually N8,800/m2. Now you can charge your client N11,500- N12,500/m2 ( this depends on your bargaining power). You profit margin could be N2,700-N3,700/M2 Now for a Standard widow of 2.0m2, you could make, N2,700 X2 = N5,400, or N3,700 X 2 = N7,400 Let us assume you get a job, to install blinds for a house that has 10 windows, you could make N5,400 X 10 =N54,000 OR N7,400 X 10 – N74,000 as your total income from that job. IF you get three of such contract in a month, you could earn between (N54,000 x3 = N162,000) OR ( N74,000 x3 =N222,000). Now tell me, How many blue chip companies in Nigeria pay as much as N150k or N200k in a month? Now, the same thing goes for the sales and installation of wall-paper. A hotel or a restaurant could give you a contract to decorate all their interior walls with paper or panel board. I bet you, such contract would earn you hundreds of thousands of handsome profit margin that could radically transform your finances.
