After several hours of political card games, Bayo Adelabu has finally emerged as All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate for the 2019 governorship election in Oyo State, after seven aspirants including Lekan Alli, Dr. Azeez Adeduntan, Joseph Tegbe, Sola Ayandele, Owolabi Babalola, Alao-Akala, and Adeniyi Akintola all withdrew from the ongoing primary election holding at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan. Adeniyi Akintola, after stepping down from Oyo APC primary, said: “I am taking this decision against the wish of my immediate family. Ladoja is the Omisore of Oyo state. Those who have sense will start negotiating with him from this period. Seeing that he was allowed to live freely after returning "N200million" to EFCC 3 years ago, I bet he will choose to align with APC than with a PDP that allowed Alao-Akala to betray him back then. |
