The YPP Ogun State took another giant step by electing Babasola Adegbuyi omo Ogunwa as its Governorship candidate for the coming elections.

Two vibrant aspirants have been in the race, making consultations and taking brilliant and calculated steps to get the ticket. However, delegates from all the 20 local government in Ogun State, assembled in the fully packed Imperial hall in Abeokuta, went into jubilation as one of the contenders, Segun Sumonu Adams decides to withdraw and team up with Babasola.

In a charged atmosphere with wild jubilation, Babasola declared Adams as his running mate. The whole party men were pleased and declared readiness to support both candidates, and to start work in earnest.

Babasola is an accountant in one of the leading oil and gas company in the world. He has been involved in many movement across the country. He's a philanthropist, labour leader and social commentator.

The running mate, Adams, is a world class brand manager with years of experience. He's known to be cool, calm collected. A highly cerebral and calculative personality.

The event was widely attended. INEC gave it the needed credibility. YPP National delegation was led by the National Secretary, Vidiyeno Bamaiyi, other leaders are: National women leader and the South west coordinator.
