The Social Democratic Party(SDP) wishes to felicitate with patriotic Nigerians all over the world on this auspicious occasion of Nigeria’s 58th Independence Day celebration.

In a press statement issued and signed by its National Publicity Secretary of Social Democratic Party (SDP) made available to Trace reporter in Kaduna said, ” Nigeria has come a long way! Despite it’s multicultural, religious and ethnic diversity, as well as political turbulence that have continuously bedevilled the country since it’s Independence in 1960, we have remained an indivisible nation striving together towards the path of progress for greatness.

“Indeed this calls for celebration and gratitude to God.

“We are optimistic that Nigeria will overcome it numerous challenges. However, this can only come through if the right people are in power.
“We therefore, seize this occasion to appeal to all patrotic citizens of this country to be determined to take the destiny of Nigeria into their hands by ensuring that only men and women of integrity, genuine passion to move the country from it’s present near comatose state, emerge as leaders in the coming 2019 election.

“At 58, Nigeria as a nation and Nigerians as a people should begin to see the development of the country as priority, jettison personal, ethnic, sectional and tribal intetest for peace, progress and development of the nation.

“Nigeria can only get it right when we institute a leadership that can govern the nation with equity, fairness and justice.

“May God bless Nigeria and the good people of this country!
